Vurnon Anita is ready utilise his versatility by operating at right back in Newcastle United’s Monday night match with Everton.

United travel to Goodison Park with three senior options at right back injured. Danny Simpson has a hamstring problem, Ryan Taylor is set to be a long-term absentee and James Perch has a neck problem.

Anita who has mainly featured as a central midfielder since his arrival on Tyneside said, “We have two injuries on that side, so if the manager needs me on that side I will do my best.

“It went well against Aston Villa. As a right-back you can come forward a lot, so I did that also and yes, I think it was a good performance. Central midfield is my position, so the main focus is on midfield, but if the manager needs me on the right side, I can also play there.”
