Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has admitted to exceeding the 70mph speed limit on a motorway, court officials have confirmed.

According to the PA news agency, the 26-year-old was caught exceeding the speed limit on the M60 in Manchester on December 12, 2023. The report adds the speed the England international was travelling at in his Rolls Royce was not available on the court record.

Court records state Rashford admitted the offence, under the Single Justice Procedure, and he will learn his fate at a magistrates' court later this year. The report adds the United academy product, who has not been picked to represent England at Euro 2024, could receive a 'hefty fine or a driving ban'.
